Busy Summer

Greetings Dear Reader!

Once again, summer is here and the hectic pace of ball games, swim meets and family vacations are upon us.  While Summer is a time of fun and relaxation, it can be a challenging time for any church!  With poor attendance, sometimes it is a struggle to have enough teachers for Sunday School Classes, other times a church can fail to take in enough money to cover it's normal budgetary needs. When we fail to support the church with our attendance, regular tithes and offerings, all functions of the church are impacted.   All of this can be avoided if the people of God will be faithful to the Lord by not forsaking their local church.

The Bible is very clear that we are not to forsake the assembly and we also run the risk of leading our children astray into thinking that failing to faithfully attend church is ok in God's eyes.  The reality of it is, God isn't pleased when we aren't faithful.  Just look at Israel's example in the Old Testament and their lack of faithfulness when they followed their own plans instead of God's.  They became captives to their enemies.

I want to encourage you whether you attend Dahlgren Baptist or any other church, BE FAITHFUL where God has planted you!   If you want to see God bless your life, remember to bless Him in your obedience to His commands.

Hope to see you in service soon!

Bro. Brad
